Rising demand from lockdowns, stamp duty incentives and hybrid working is encouraging homeowners to reconsider their lifestyles, with almost a third of UK households making plans to change their living arrangements.  They cite remote working as the facilitator and quality of life as the ambition.

According to a new national survey of around 2000 households by property developer Romal Capital, 31% are planning to move house and, with only 5% of households typically moving house in any given year, the increase is staggering. The following were the top three reasons people felt as important to them when relocating home:

  • 29% good standard of living
  • 25% hybrid working environment
  • 23% road networks and connectivity

The market is helping sellers by moving at a tremendous pace with some houses going under offer in days!
