Once completed, the garden will be a beautiful, accessible, edible place for the whole community to enjoy.  It will include wheelchair accessible pathways and raised beds, therapeutic gardens, children’s gardens, vegetable and fruit growing areas, a heritage orchard and wildlife zones. The garden will be open for the public to visit free of charge during daylight hours and will also be used to deliver a range of therapeutic, educational and community projects aimed at helping re-connect people to the countryside food and farming; tackling poverty and health inequalities and building community cohesion.

Green Synergy is a small, Lincoln-based charity that was founded in 2012 with the aims of using community gardening, horticultural therapy and city farming to help improve people’s lives and the local environment.  In order to draw down the funds pledged, Green Synergy need to reach their baseline target of £10,000. They have already received £3,500 through community donations and have kindly been offered further support from local businesses.  If you would like further information about this project or would like to help Green Synergy meet this important milestone please visit their funding page.

Further information about Green Synergy can also be found on their website or on their Facebook page.
