JHWalter are committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by doing business in a socially responsible way and respecting the needs of local community projects where we work.
Providing the highest standards of client care means acting with professionalism and integrity at all times. JHWalter LLP is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and our firm is committed to ensuring that all our people are aware of, and adhere to, RICS guidance at all times.
We strive to support our communities we operate in and part of this is by supporting charities and other local initiatives. Our people are actively involved in our communities and regularly donate their services as a firm to charity auctions.
In addition to the charitable work and sponsorship we have undertaken locally, JHWalter asked our people to nominate two charities that they care about and which are close to their hearts. JHWalter have chosen to support the following charities and local community projects:
The JHWalter have supported local Charity Golf Days and have entered teams at Blankney Golf Club and Belton Woods raising funds for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice and the Ryan Smith Foundation.
The Lincolnshire Rural Support Network provides pastoral and practical support to farming and rural people during periods of anxiety, stress and problems relating to their families and businesses. JHWalter maintains its support for LRSN and, in addition to raising funds and providing donations, sponsored the JHWalter Handicap Hurdle at the LRSN Race Day at Market Rasen Racecourse. A project costing nearly £20m to restore Lincoln Castle and to develop a new subterranean vault for Magna Carta within the grounds is underway. There is still £2m to raise through events which is the task of the Historic Lincoln Trust, chaired by Lord Cormack. JHWalter are very proud to be supporting the Trust in its work and we hope that our clients, colleagues and friends will share our enthusiasm for Magna Carta project and we will be in touch to suggest ways in which you can take part and support the work of the Trust. For those who wish to keep up to date on developments please visit the Historic Lincoln Trust website and sign up for the newsletter.
We have offered several internships to young people to teach them about working as a chartered surveyor or attaining experience in the sectors of Property, Business, Planning and Energy.
The Lincolnshire Artists’ Society continues their mission to highlight the work of serious artists in Lincolnshire and we have been pleased to support their exhibitions at The Usher Gallery.
JHWalter maintains its support of ProHelp, a national network of over 600 professional firms committed to making a difference in their local community by providing free advice and professional support.
We have a number of auctioneers who are frequently asked to lend their expertise and wield the gavel at charity auctions throughout the region. We were pleased to donate our services to Lincoln Cathedral during the European Stone Festival which welcomed around 140 stonemasons and stone carvers from around the world. Prizes were awarded for the best carvings in various categories, which were then auctioned by Ian Walter of JHWalter. The auction of the stone carvings raised £50,000 for Lincoln Cathedral Fabric Fund. Lincoln Cathedral Website
