JHWalter are committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by doing business in a socially responsible way and respecting the needs of local community projects where we work.
Providing the highest standards of client care means acting with professionalism and integrity at all times. JHWalter LLP is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and our firm is committed to ensuring that all our people are aware of, and adhere to, RICS guidance at all times.
We actively support the needs of our employees and environment by creating opportunities for local employment and social support with community projects.
Charitable giving is part of our culture and the practice of JHWalter is committed to supporting worthy causes. As well as staff participation in community projects, the firm has made regular financial contributions to various local charitable organisations in the City of Lincoln and throughout the county to support their projects and help them achieve their goals. The firm has also regularly donated their services as a firm to charity auctions.
As Auction Partner, JHWalter are proud to support Lincoln Business Improvement Group’s third sculpture trail celebrating Lincoln, its art, culture and heritage. The story of the imp launches Spring 2021 when the 30 sculptures will be placed across the city from Newport Arch to St Marks, Brayford Waterfront to the Usher Gallery. All imps will come together at Lincoln Castle for their final farewell prior to the Auction in Autumn which will be conducted by JHWalter. Proceeds from fundraising during the trail and money raised at Auction will support St. Barnabas Hospice.
JHWalter has been involved in raising funds for the superb work that YMCA Lincolnshire do. Of particular importance for the charity is the new YMCA Nomad Centre. The brand new £1.6m purpose built day facility, with emergency overnight accommodation for the most vulnerable people in our city, was recently opened thanks, in major part, to the generosity of the good people of Lincolnshire.
As part of our fundraising efforts, we raised £540 when we hosted a JHWalter Rounders Tournament at The Lawn in Lincoln. In addition, two of our team participated in the Sleep Easy event which took place overnight at Lincoln Cathedral.
As well as the other charities, we have proudly supported the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network which provides pastoral and practical support to farming and rural people during periods of anxiety, stress and problems relating to their families and businesses. Internships have been offered across the sector to support graduates in achieving their professional qualification. Our planning team was recently expanded with the appointment of a planning consultant following completion of a successful intern as part of their degree.
