JHWalter are committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by doing business in a socially responsible way and respecting the needs of local community projects where we work.
Providing the highest standards of client care means acting with professionalism and integrity at all times. JHWalter LLP is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and our firm is committed to ensuring that all our people are aware of, and adhere to, RICS guidance at all times.
Charitable giving is part of our culture and the practice of JHWalter is committed to supporting worthy causes. As well as staff participation in community projects, the firm makes regular financial contributions to various local charitable organisations in the City of Lincoln and throughout the county to support their projects and help them achieve their goals. The firm also regularly donates their services as a firm to charity auctions.
In addition to the charitable work and sponsorship we have undertaken locally, JHWalter asked our people to nominate charities that they care about and which are close to their hearts. JHWalter have chosen to support the following charities and local community projects:
JHWalter are proud to sponsor Producer of the Year at the Taste of Excellence Awards, hosted by Lincolnshire Life Magazine. We chose this category principally due to our longstanding and ongoing affiliation with the county’s farming and agricultural community and have been delighted to visit each of the three finalists: Alfred Enderby Ltd, Pin Gin and Minting Park Farm; in their individual workspace to find out more about them and their background. We are looking forward to meeting the new finalists this year. Visit the Lincolnshire Life Magazine website
This diverse organisation which delivers essential youth and homeless services across Lincolnshire has appointed JHWalter partner, Simon Smith, to the YMCA Lincolnshire Board of Trustees on a voluntary basis.
The 36 sculptures of the Knights’ Trail around the City of Lincoln raised almost £180,000 in an auction conducted by JHWalter in Lincoln Cathedral. Final sales ranged from £2,200 to £15,000 for Knight of the Skies. The total was an exciting increase on the £167,000 raised at the auction of the Lincoln Barons previously. Two thirds of the funds raised at the event went towards the Nomad Trust, part of YMCA Lincolnshire, to create a specialist day facility and new direct access emergency accommodation to support those who find themselves homeless. The remaining funds were put into an Art and Innovation fund for the City.
JHWalter is committed to honour the Armed Forces and to support their community and families. We are delighted to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and currently support members of the Armed Forces community by offering discounted fees when selling their properties. We strive to continue our work to make a positive difference to those who have, and those who continue to serve.
JHWalter commemorates 100 years of the RAF and the close association that Lincoln and Lincolnshire has with aviation. JHWalter are pleased to sponsor the “Lincoln Big” Hawk Trail and to mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force, we have adopted a bold new brand using a palette based on the RAF uniform.
The JHWalter golf team represents the firm to support local charities of Lincolnshire in events taking place across the county.
The Lincolnshire Rural Support Network provides pastoral and practical support to farming and rural people during periods of anxiety, stress and problems relating to their families and businesses. JHWalter maintains its support for LRSN by raising funds and providing donations. Visit the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network website
We offer internships and placements across the sector supporting graduates in achieving their professional qualification.
The Lincolnshire Artists’ Society continues their mission to highlight the work of serious artists in Lincolnshire and we have been pleased to support their annual exhibitions.
The Fabric Fund works tirelessly to support the continuous programme of conservation and restoration that is required to sustain the glorious medieval Cathedral of Lincoln, both for us today, as well as those future generations who we hope will also be able to visit and be inspired. We have a number of auctioneers who are frequently asked to lend their expertise and wield the gavel at charity auctions throughout the year and have been pleased to donate our services to Lincoln Cathedral and help raise funds for this worthy cause.
