The Commercial Department of JHWalter focuses on the development of professional advice to a wide range of clients. Some Recent Cases

We were asked to advise sell a retail, leisure and residential investment. It had some unusual title issues but presented a purchaser with a number of opportunities. The route to market that achieved a decisive marketing period was through auction. This was attractive to the vendor and flushed out genuine interest in the property.

A retail property in an historic building was due for review. JHWalter advised on the procedure for review which coincided with a break clause. The client was very please with the rental outcome which was more beneficial than they had been anticipating. We were able to demonstrate how the rental value fitted into the pattern of values in nearby property to the advantage of the client.

On behalf of a major lender, we advised on the value of an investment property.  This involved assessing the value of a well located unit and the strength of the tenant – research showed they were a very substantial company with great potential.  Given the quality of the location and the quality of the building, even without a good covenant, the property had a substantial value.
