Historic Public Meeting Place Goes Under The Hammer
An historic Notts building built to keep local men out of taverns is to go under the hammer later this month. The Parish Rooms in Laxton were built in the 19th Century on land gifted to the parish by Earl Manvers of Thoresby Hall. The original aim was to create a place where people could meet – without having to go to public houses. The building is to be sold off with planning permission for conversion to residential use.

New RLR Maps
Commencing 1st June 2009 the RPA will be issuing a completely new set of farm maps to all farmers. These maps will include the position and area of ineligible features such as ponds and tracks. Amendments to the maps must be made within 28 days of receipt otherwise it may delay the processing of the 2010 SP5 Form.

Lincolnshire Country House Auction: £325,000 Guide
The four-bedroom China House, so-called because of its 3ft deep Gothic windows inlaid with light blue china tiles, has come on the market for the first time in 50 years.
