Bunker Set for a New Boom

News Image It would be a tough sell for even the most silver-tongued estate agent. The downsides include no electricity or water and the front door is a concrete hatch in the corner of a muddy field. But on the plus side, it's cheap, and you're guaranteed never to be bothered by the neighbours. The former Cold War nuclear bunker in a field off Bolton Road, in Atherton, is one of 13 decommissioned bunkers to be auctioned this week, and estate agents reckon it could be the perfect pad for someone looking to get away from it all.
