Renewable Energy Manager
The JHWalter Energy team provides independent advice on all medium / large renewable energy technologies, alongside project management services to take energy projects from conception to implementation. The team has a successful track record in the planning, procurement and commission of Wind, AD and PV installations from 11kW to 2MW.
Key Activities
Renewable Energy Consultancy - offer best renewable energy advice to clients based on their situation, aspirations and current market conditions
• Offer strategic advice on FIT and RHI driven renewable energy projects
• Offer advice on merits and pitfalls of different technologies
• Offer advice on appropriate renewable project options and delivery
Project Management -lead role in progressing on-going and new renewable energy projects to successful commissioning working alongside an established energy and planning team
• Lead client updates (project status and costs)
• Lead negotiation with client over next steps and associated costs
• Coordinate internal and third parties to timely deliver necessary outputs
Marketing - lead the development of content, style and programme for the Energy Team's marketing initiatives)
• Manage programme of printed marketing material & write copy as required
• Review with partners and marketing team annual strategy & budget
• Actively seek speaking opportunities individually and the JHWalter Energy Team
Sales - develop new business streams - originating, pitching, negotiating and closing sales supported by team input as required
• Originate new leads via events, existing client base & promotion
• Develop appropriate proposals (scope of work and costs)
• Manage negotiation to contractual closure
Strategy - assist in the development of the Energy Team's service mix through analysis of evolving renewable energy opportunities
• Track changing policy and technological developments to inform service strategy
• Periodically review service offering and skills to identify areas to promote or improve
Training and Development - provide support and guidance to other members of the Energy Team and across the JHWalter practice
• Monitor and lead the sharing of market developments
• Provide direction and support to up-skill team members
• Monitor and lead the sharing of project information within the team
Key Skills:
• Relevant experience and achievements in the renewable energy sector
• Detailed understanding of FITs / RHI
• Experience of developing renewable energy projects with a good technical knowledge of the industry and associated technologies
• Understanding of the constraints affecting renewable energy projects
• Financial and analytical appraisal experience
• Understanding of the planning process for renewable projects
• Good communication skills including presentations and report writing
• Sound project management/coordination skills
• Business development skills in marketing and sales
• Commercially astute

The role will involve setting of a variety of corporate literature including adverts, sales particulars & brochures for our property agency.
